Infant/Toddler Project: Good Beginnings Last a Lifetime

The Infant and Toddler Project began in 1999 and is sponsored through the Kansas Association of Child Care Resource and Referral Agencies (KACCRRA). The Infant/Toddler Project through the Infant/Toddler Specialist provides services to regulated child care providers.

  • Services:
    1. A minimum of 15 hours of training and education in Douglas county specific to infants and toddlers
    2. On-site visits and/or telephone support to providers with issues specific to infants and toddlers
    3. Work with community partners to improve awareness of infant/toddler issues and concerns
    4. Additional infant/toddler library resources for child care providers
    5. Information about infant and toddler growth and development
    6. Child Development Associate (CDA) credential support and training
    7. Work with child care regulatory agencies to improve the quality and availability of infant/toddler care

    10. UNDER THE BIG TOP CIRCUS - 1 SMALL TOTE
    11. UNDER THE SEA - 1 LARGE TOTE
    12. WILD ANIMALS - 1 LARGE TOTE
To check on availability please call or email Kathy Klocke. These toy kits are available at the Douglas County Child Development Association in our Resource Library for month-long check out. There are duplicate toys in most of the kits. All materials are to be used under adult supervision.
