Parents are given a list that contains names of registered and/or licensed homes or child care centers that have child care openings that fit their needs. They also receive information on choosing quality child care, availability of subsidies, and other guidance. Kansas has regulations concerning family child care homes and child care centers. These regulations try to ensure minimum health and safety standards.
